Presenter Bio: Karl Perrin is a retired Speech-Language Pathologist. He was a Peace Corps Volunteer and Staff in Afghanistan 1967-1969.  Since 1993 he has been trying to reduce Climate Change, personally and through organizations, to benefit his son’s generation.

Our club is celebrating our 75th Anniversary! The planning committee for this event has planned a wonderful gala dinner with delicious food, performers and live band for this special occasion to celebrate our achievements, contributions to the community and years of fellowships!

This week I thought I would set-up a social on Zoom to discuss the 75th Anniversary event and other matters. Feel free to bring pictures and/or stories from the night! Regular scheduling will return next week with a presentation by Anika from Blood Services Canada.

For this week's meeting, we have presentation by Anika from Blood Services Canada on the importance and value of blood donations, especially due to ongoing shortages.

Author Bio: Anika McDonald is a Community Development Manager for Canadian Blood Services. Driven by patients’ needs, including several family members who needed blood and blood products, she takes pride in providing the education and tools necessary to procure blood donors. In addition to her goal of increasing the number of blood donors in our communities, Anika is committed to ensuring that new and returning blood donors make lifesaving donations a part of their routine.

Presenter (Aline Emery) Bio: Spreading empathy and compassion in the world is a value that needs love and attention. Alina has studied counselor training along with peace and conflict studies. Making self-development and community building her educational focus, she is excited to apply it into the real world with her community. As the fund development manager at Low Entropy, she aspires to create opportunities for change with her local communities, individuals and her team.
