Jack was an avid and renouned runner, having represented Canada in the 1948 London and 1952 Helsinki Olympics, as well being named Canadian Athlete of the Year twice. He also won the 2007 Sun Run in his age catagory. Jack brought the same passion to his volunteerism and helping others as he had for running, having been a long time Rotarian and Past President of the Burnaby Rotary Club. Jack will be missed by all those that he touched,
