Rotary Club of Burnaby sponsors $5,000 towards Confederation Park Elementary School Playgroung.  The Grand Opening took place on Saturday, October 15.  In attendance was the mayor of Burnaby and various other dignitaries of the community.

The Rotary Club of Burnaby is proud to support Confederation Park Elementary School Park project.  The club has sponsored $5,000 towards the park.

On November 26 Neil MacKay and Rhino Rohrs (President of the Rotary Club of Burnaby (2010 - 2011)) presented the cheque to the school for the development of the Playground.  

On October 15, 2011 the Rotary Club of Burnaby was present for the Grand Opening of the Playground.  In attendance from the club was Azim Raghavji, President of the Rotary Club of Burnaby 2011-12 and Neil MacKay, Director for Community Service Projects.  Also in attendance was the Mayor of Burnaby, City Councilors, School Board members, Teachers and Staff of Confederation Park and members from the Parent Advisory Committee for the school.  Finally, there was the most important guest of all the children and their parents who will benefit from the playground. 

 It was a great honor for the Rotary Club of Burnaby to support such a worthy cause in the community.
