The club supports sending youth in Grades 11 & 12 to Adventure programs. These programs are organized by Rotary Clubs in their community. The club will get the opportunity to hear from our candidate who attended the Adventures in Film program in Powell River and to hear what the program had to offer. To ensure that the board receives the feedback from its members, the club holds Club Assemblies at its weekly sessions. These sessions are an opportunity to formally present to the membership any updates as to club finances, activities, club operations, etc. It also provides an opportunity for the membership to give feedback back to its board. The Coats for Kids program is a project which began with the Rotary Club of Burnaby Metrotown. The project entails the collection of new and used coats which are than distributed to individuals in need. Over a 1,000 coats are distributed annually and helps keep the children warm. Anticipated Date & Time - Details to be Finalized The Rotary Clubs of Burnaby, Burnaby Metrotown and Burnaby Deerlake joined together to celebrate Canada's 150th Anniversary by creating a Rotary Fitness Circuit at the Fraser River Foreshore Park. Approx $150,000 was raised to establish a fitness circuit which consists of 4 stations of 3 exercise pods. We look forward to seeing members of the community present in joining us for the opening of this great addition to the parks in Burnaby as well as Celebrate Canada's 150th Link to Park Location: Map

Quite a few years ago now, several Canadians visiting Bali noticed that there were no resources or services for the many hard of hearing and deaf children on the island. Since they were in the audiology business, they knew a lot about what it took to help a deaf child function in society, but there were no treatment clinics, no hearing aids, no schools for the deaf. Deaf children had no place in Bali’s society, as there was no infrastructure to integrate them. From this, the Sound of Hope - Bali was established ... Join us to learn more.
